4 COMMON CONCERNS

1. Is chiropractic care safe?

According to the New Zealand Magna report, Chiropractic care is .... "remarkably safe"

We pride ourselves on using highly specific and gentle techniques, so that you feel safe, secure and comfortable. We want you to enjoy every life enhancing visit to our office, and tell others!

Vanessa, Doctor of Chiropractic, has studied and practiced for thousands of hours so you can be sure you are in safe hands.

2. I'm not sure if chiropractic is right for me

Over the past 21 years, our practices and reputation (in UK and Australia) has been built on great results and happy clients. Whilst individual results are difficult to promise, I am confident that you will be delighted to work together with GOchiropractic. My goal is to help you receive the life-enhancing care you need to fulfill your health goals.

3. I don't want to come forever

How long you choose to benefit from chiropractic care is up to you.  Let's face it, no-one likes to feel dependent or pushed into things.  I will ask your permission and work in agreement with you.  I will offer you choices.  Along the way, I will also arrange regular re-examinations to check if you are on, ahead or behind schedule.  Whatever your needs, there is a type of care that will help you optimise your results. Like exercise, eating and lifestyle, health is a choice you make every day and I will share with you my top tips to achieve your health goals.  The severity and how long you have had the problem will affect how long it will take your body to recover

4. Will I be comfortable?

I promise to use the most gentle technique possible to get the job done.  I pride myself on selecting the right care for you - so that you enjoy safe, gentle, effective care that you are happy with and that gets results.  I take great pride in making every visit

life-enhancing.

Vanessa has studied for hundreds of hours and specialises in low force techniques as well as stretching, strengthening, dietary and stress advice in order to effectively release nerve pressure and help you function at your best.

Sometimes a popping sound can be heard - similar to the bubble sound of lifting a wet glass off the table, or taking the lid off a fizzy bottle.  This is just gas and is a natural pressure release.

Underlying this is often an anxiety about safety.

In the words of the New Zealand Government’s Inquiry, chiropractic care is “remarkably safe.”(1) Chiropractic has an excellent safety record that is the result of a conservative approach to health that avoids invasive procedures or addictive drugs. In relation to the treatment of neck and back pain, studies have shown that a course of chiropractic care was 250 times safer than a course of

anti-inflammatory drugs (2).

Whatever the technique our chiropractors use, it’s important to remember that it’s skill, not force or strength that’s the basis to a

safe and effective adjustment.
